Blume acquires claims.co.uk to help fuel growth
Blume, a specialist marketing collective for the legal sector, has today announced the acquisition of Claims.co.uk, one of the leading lead generation companies in the sector.
The move marks a significant milestone in Blume’s growth strategy and underscores Blume’s commitment to expanding its market reach and capabilities, and enhancing its service offering to law firms in the personal injury and clinical negligence sector.
Based in Belfast, Claims.co.uk has built a strong reputation in the sector over the last 10 years, with one of the best known online personal injury brands generating high-quality enquiries through a combination of targeted content marketing, strategic social media engagement and paid advertising campaigns.
The acquisition presented “an ideal strategic fit with Blume’s business and people” according to Blume’s CEO, Alex Kenny.
“Our marketing collective has expanded significantly over the last six months, and we’re expecting double digit growth again next year. Ensuring we can deliver the right number of the right quality cases is key to making that level of growth a success for our collective. While we generate the majority of our leads ourselves, we’ve been really impressed by John Quail and the Claims.co.uk team, both with the quality of their leads, the return on spend for the collective, and their considerable marketing experience in the sector.”
Under the arrangement, both companies will continue to operate as separate entities. Claims.co.uk will maintain its brand and its facilities in Belfast and continue to be a supplier to Blume as well as others; and the current leadership team led by MD and Founder, John Quail, will remain, ensuring consistency in service, operations, and market presence.
Kenny adds: “We’ve worked with Claims.co.uk for over 12 months now, and are really excited to welcome them to Blume. John has built a fantastic business and brand, and the collaboration between marketing teams will allow us to innovate and amplify our efforts so we can capitalise on new business opportunities as well as grow our law firm panels.”
MD and Founder of Claims.co.uk, John Quail says: “Joining Blume marks an exciting new chapter for us. We’ve supplied marketing collectives with high quality personal injury enquiries for over a decade and Blume’s contact centre performance, use of data, and passion for client care has been particularly impressive to us.
“It will allow us to grow the business alongside Blume’s own panel growth, while providing the added resources and benefits that come with being part of a larger group, and our clients will benefit from the new combined business capabilities.”
Blume has seen a continuous period of growth over the past few years and the acquisition is Blume’s first acquisition under the leadership of Chief Executive, Alex Kenny who took over the reins from Dez Derry just over 12 months ago. The company opened a new office at Towers Business Park in South Manchester in April 2024 to accommodate continuing growth in employee numbers and client demand, and in October 2024 appointed Adam Fletcher as Chief Customer Officer.
