Staff spotlight: Sam Blakeley

Sam is an extremely popular, dedicated and articulate member of the team. With a degree in law, his passion and experience within the sector saw him quickly progress from his Customer Service Advisor role to a position where he now coaches his colleagues and ensures our calls are of a top-quality level.

What is your role at mmadigital?

I have recently been appointed the role of Assistant Hub Team Leader.

What does your average day look like/main responsibilities?

My main responsibilities consist of assisting the team leaders, by coaching colleagues to ensure that every claimant has the best possible correspondence. I also liaise with people who enquire with us to identify whether the wrongdoing they have suffered could potentially lead to a claim.

How did you get into your role?

Being a recent Law graduate, I wanted to find a job role where I could use my knowledge and skills to help others. When I interviewed for the role at Blume, it immediately felt like this was the right role for me, so I cancelled all other interviews and have never looked back!

What is the favourite project or role you’ve ever worked on?

Assisting my team has been the most rewarding project I have done so far, as I feel like my experience is really helping others achieve their potential!

Where are we most like to find you outside of work?

I like to spend my time with family and friends, exploring new places in or around Manchester, and constantly finding new places to walk my pup!

Tell us something we’d never guess about you!?

When I was 18, I travelled to Australia alone. Whilst scuba-diving in the Great Barrier Reef, I accidentally kicked one of three sharks that were underneath me. The scariest moment of my life!
